First, Best Wishes for a Healthy New Year! I hope your January is off to a great start.
At the end of last year, and after much deliberation with many months of various forms of obstruction, we have decided to no longer accept assignment on United Healthcare. I have been sending notices of this for the last few months, but it sounds like a few patients did not receive any of them so I am sending one last letter!
Information to know moving forward:
1. This new procedure will go into effect as of February 1, 2025.
2. This involves ALL United Healthcare plans including but not limited to; Medicare
replacement plans, VA Community Care Network plans, and UMR plans. *UMR plans: When initiating this change, United Healthcare told us we could stay in-network with UMR, however just this week they notified us we cannot stay in-network with UMR either, I sincerely apologize for this update*
3. This doesn’t mean you cannot use your insurance! What will happen now is, you will pay for your care at the time of service at our discounted cash rate. Please ask Steph for a receipt that you can bill to your insurance for any direct reimbursement owed back to you.
